Lillehei Symposium: Progress in Cardiovascular Care

Description

The Annual Lillehei Symposium strives to bring the newest and most innovative treatments, research, and interventions to clinicians interested in the care of patients with cardiovascular disease.  Over the course of 2 days, presenters address varied sources of cardiac dysfunction that limit the quality and quantity of people’s lives.  At the end of the conference, participants have the opportunity to take new and creative ideas back to their individual practice areas. Audience

This interactive, comprehensive, informative, two-day session will provide cardiovascular education to Nurses, CV Technicians, Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Clinical Nurse Specialists), Primary Care Physicians, Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Specialists in Vascular Medicine and any health professionals from the medical industry who are interested in a comprehensive update of progress in cardiovascular care. 
 

Educational Objectives

Following completion of this activity, learners should be better able to:
  • Apply newest guidelines to diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of a wide spectrum of cardiovascular diseases.
  • Incorporate new clinical drugs and approved device therapy into clinical practice.
  • Identify appropriate patients for structural interventions and understand when to refer them for advanced therapies.
  • Detect less common cardiovascular conditions and recognize when to refer these patients to a specialist.
