Thursday evening pre-conference sessions (optional) and all day Friday interactive sessions provide health care professionals with the latest treatment updates for commonly diagnosed sports medicine issues.

Description

This one day conference is filled with hands-on workshops, engaging talks, case discussions, question-and-answer periods, and panel presentations aimed at providing the latest treatment updates and practical solutions for commonly diagnosed sports medicine issues. This year, local and nationally recognized expert presenters will focus on hip pathology, primary care updates, and multiligament knee injuries, culminating with a panel of professional athlete team sports medicine physicians.  Optional pre-conference sessions go in-depth with hands-on musculoskeletal ultrasound and physical therapy movement patterns. Audience

This conference is ideal for sports medicine physicians, primary care physicians, physiatrists, physical therapists, athletic trainers and other sports‐related healthcare professionals who take care of athletes.

Educational Objectives

Following completion of this activity, learners should be better able to:
  • Identify current treatment recommendations to provide optimal care for patients with hip pathology
  • Recognize the evolving trends in primary care of young athletes particularly – in dermatology, female athlete and dentistry
  • Identify urgent treatment guidelines including diagnosis, initial management and return to sports following multiligament knee injuries

Registration includes continental breakfast, lunch, light refreshment breaks, and complimentary parking on Friday, October 4.

Printed course materials cannot be guaranteed for onsite/walk-in registrants. Access to online course materials is provided in advance of the activity to registered learners. To ensure you receive all course materials before the start of the activity, please register in advance.

Group Discount

At least 3 registrations from the same group must be submitted to receive a $20 discount per person. NO refunds will be issued if a person from a group has to cancel or does not show up at the conference. Normal refund policy applies for complete group cancellations.

A block of sleeping rooms is available at the discounted rate of $146 single or double per night plus tax through September 11, 2019. Parking

Parking is available in the ramp adjacent to the hotel and Friday costs are included in the registration fees. Thursday fees are not included in the pre-conference course fees.
